Dion Lee – Various

We were tasked by the interior architects Akin Creative to illuminate the spaces of Australian designer Dion Lee’s boutiques at various locations around Australia.

Each site demands its own creative answers, but a common theme is the gentle balance of the luxurious and the unfinished, with a minimalism that is more than easy on the eye.

At the Paddington store there is a low ceiling height with an angled roof, making the Pitch a welcome addition to the space. With the Pitch you can tilt and rotate the head – basically adjusting the pitch as if finally conducting an orchestra. The POS area is minimal with surface mounted Mini Rolls performing their task.

At Pacific Fair Bravados with honeycomb louvre make an appearance to reduce glare and give a softness of light play that provide a luxurious and elegant feel – while still illuminating the product. Mini Rolls were also used group closer together to follow the linear aspect of the space.
